Recorded in the midst of the Falklands War, this album marked Charly's solo debut after the breakup of Serú Girán. It was a revolutionary album that introduced a modern sound, supported by the use of the Roland TR-808 drum machine and synthesizers that were cutting-edge for the time. The recording at Ion featured engineering by Amílcar Gilabert, who managed to capture the essence of a profound cultural transition in Argentina.

The album features collaborations with luminaries such as Luis Alberto Spinetta, Pedro Aznar, and León Gieco, consolidating the unity of national rock at a critical moment. Songs like the title track or 'No bombardeen Buenos Aires' reflect the urban paranoia and political climate of the end of the military dictatorship. It was presented with a historic concert at the Ferro stadium, being the first rock show with a stadium production in the country.

It is considered one of the fundamental pillars of Argentine rock, initiating Charly's 'golden era' as a solo artist. Its blend of rock, pop, and introspective yet social lyrics defined the sound of the 1980s. The legacy of this album persists as the moment when Charly definitively became the greatest reference point in Argentine popular music.
