Ciro y los Persas was born in 2010 as the new project of Andrés Ciro Martínez, after his departure from Los Piojos. 'Espejos' was the band's debut album, a work that showed a renewed Ciro, with a musical proposal that maintained the essence of barrial rock but incorporated new nuances and sonorities. Recorded between Del Cielito and El Pie, the album was conceived as a collection of songs that functioned as mirrors of different moments in the singer's life and career, reflecting lights and shadows, successes and mistakes. The expectation was enormous, and the album did not disappoint.

The first single 'Antes y después' quickly became a classic, with its catchy riff and lyrics that spoke of changes and second chances. 'Jugador de caño' and 'El viejo' showed the most rock and furious side of the band, a direct heir to the piojoso sound. 'Miente' and 'Tiempos inestables' explored more melodic and dark territories, demonstrating the versatility of the new lineup. The band that accompanied Ciro was up to the task: Nicolás Raffetta on guitar, Juan Pablo 'Túnel' Acuña on bass, Rodrigo Pérez on drums, and the winds of Santiago Cabakian, among other luxury musicians who contributed impeccable textures and arrangements.

The legacy of 'Espejos' is that of a powerful debut that proved Ciro could remain a reference point in national rock outside of Los Piojos. The album was a commercial and critical success, and the promotional tour sold out tickets in the country's main stadiums. 'Espejos' not only showed a consolidated artist, but one who allowed himself to grow, take risks, and surprise. It was the confirmation that barrial rock had a new chapter and that Ciro was, without a doubt, one of its main protagonists.
