Daniel Melero's 2011 album Supernatural marked a turning point in his career by blending experimental rock with avant-garde electronics. Recorded in Buenos Aires, the record explored dark, atmospheric soundscapes, moving away from his earlier work with bands like Los Auténticos Decadentes. Melero produced it himself, using analog synthesizers and samplers to craft an abstract, dreamlike landscape.

The lyrics of Supernatural tackled themes of alienation and secular spirituality, reflecting the artist's personal crisis during its creation. Tracks like El Reino del Revés and La Máquina del Tiempo combined cryptic poetry with hypnotic rhythms, creating an immersive experience. Critics praised the album for its conceptual daring and unclassifiable sound, solidifying its cult status.

Despite its underground profile, Supernatural influenced the later Argentine electronic scene, establishing Melero as a genre pioneer. The cover art, designed by visual artist Eduardo Stupía, reinforced the project's surreal aesthetic. The album became a cult work, reissued on vinyl in 2019 by the independent label Deaf Ambitions.
