Amor amarillo was released in 1993, during a pause in Soda Stereo's activity, and became Gustavo Cerati's first solo album. The record keeps part of his guitar-driven and melodic language, but places it in a more intimate setting, with calmer songs and arrangements less tied to a stadium-rock scale.
The album's basic data places it as a transitional work in his catalog: Cerati is listed as producer, and the tracklist includes "Amor amarillo", "Lisa", "Te llevo para que me lleves", "Pulsar" and "Bajan". For LyricStream, this note avoids assigning intentions or biographical readings that are not supported by clear sources.
