This is perhaps the most important project of contemporary Argentine music, a three-year anthropological and musical journey where León traveled across the country recording popular musicians in their own places of origin. Under the technical production of Santaolalla, the album is a sonic map of Argentina, rescuing rhythms, instruments, and voices that had been forgotten by the centralist industry.

The recording was done with mobile equipment under precarious conditions but with unsurpassed artistic and human quality, managing to capture the very essence of our deep and diverse cultural identity. The album presents a unique blend of pure folklore with subtle interventions by León, who acts as a bridge between ancestral tradition and the present of national rock at the end of the century.

The impact of this work was immense, redefining the relationship between rock and folklore in Argentina and granting unprecedented visibility to hundreds of regional artists who had never been professionally recorded.
