Uplifter is the ninth studio album by the American band 311, released on June 2, 2009. It was the band's first album produced by Bob Rock, known for his work with Metallica and Mötley Crüe. Recording took place at Hive Mind Studios and The Hive in Los Angeles.
The album debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200, selling approximately 63,000 copies in its first week. It includes the singles 'Hey You', 'It's Alright', and 'Golden Sunlight'. The song 'Hey You' reached number 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
Uplifter marked a return to a more upbeat and melodic sound after the previous album 'Don't Tread on Me' (2005). The band promoted the album with an extensive US tour. The album cover was designed by artist Shepard Fairey.
