Precious Memories is Alan Jackson's thirteenth studio album, released on February 28, 2006. It is a traditional gospel hymns album, recorded at Jackson's studio in Nashville, Tennessee, with production solely by the artist himself.
The album was conceived as a personal and spiritual project, inspired by Jackson's Christian faith and the hymns he sang in his childhood at the Baptist church in Newnan, Georgia. It includes classics such as 'Amazing Grace', 'How Great Thou Art', and 'Softly and Tenderly'.
Commercially, Precious Memories was an unexpected success, reaching number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart. It was certified triple platinum by the RIAA in 2016, selling over three million copies in the United States.
