Jammed Together is a live album recorded at the Fillmore West in San Francisco in 1969. It was released by Stax Records and produced by Al Kooper. The album features a jam session with Albert King, Steve Stills, and Mike Bloomfield, three guitar giants.
The album captures the energy of a unique night where the musicians improvised over blues and rock. King contributed his signature Gibson Flying V guitar style, while Stills and Bloomfield complemented with their own approaches. The recording was spontaneous and without prior rehearsals.
Although not a major commercial success, Jammed Together is valued by blues rock fans as a document of historic collaboration. The blend of styles from King, Stills, and Bloomfield showcases the fusion of electric blues with late 1960s psychedelic rock.
