Orgy in Rhythm, Vol. 2 is the second volume of Art Blakey's percussion project, also released in 1957 on Blue Note Records. It was recorded in the same session as Vol. 1, on March 7, 1957, at Rudy Van Gelder's studio. The album continues the exploration of Afro-Cuban and jazz rhythms, with an emphasis on the interaction between percussionists and wind soloists.

As with the first volume, production was supervised by Alfred Lion with engineering by Rudy Van Gelder. The ensemble includes musicians such as Ray Bryant on piano, Wendell Marshall on bass, and percussionists Sabu Martinez and Art Taylor. The original compositions and arrangements stand out for their rhythmic complexity and integration of elements from traditional Cuban music.

Orgy in Rhythm, Vol. 2 was released as a complement to the first volume, and together they form a comprehensive work on percussion in jazz. Although less known than Vol. 1, it is equally valued by collectors and critics for its energy and creativity. The album demonstrates Blakey's versatility as a leader and his ability to orchestrate innovative percussive textures.
