Paul's Boutique is the second studio album by the Beastie Boys, released on July 25, 1989. It was recorded in Los Angeles with producers the Dust Brothers, known for their dense sampling work. Initial sales were low compared to their debut Licensed to Ill.

The album is famous for its innovative use of samples, featuring over 100 samples from various musical genres. The cover art shows the facade of a clothing store at 99 Ludlow Street in New York City. Over time, the record was reappraised as a hip hop masterpiece.

Despite its modest commercial reception, Paul's Boutique deeply influenced later music production. Rolling Stone included it in its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Critics highlighted its sonic complexity and the group's lyrical maturity.
