Christmas in the Heart is Bob Dylan's thirty-fourth studio album, released on October 13, 2009. It is an album of traditional Christmas carols and songs, produced by Dylan under the pseudonym Jack Frost. Recording sessions took place in May 2009 at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, California.
The album includes covers of Christmas classics such as 'Winter Wonderland', 'Little Drummer Boy', and 'Must Be Santa', the latter with an up-tempo, festive arrangement. Dylan donated all royalties from the album to charitable organizations, including Feeding America, Crisis (UK), and the World Food Programme. Estimated proceeds exceeded $5 million.
Critical reception was mixed, with some praising the sincerity of the performances and others criticizing Dylan's voice on certain tracks. However, the album reached number 23 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold in the United States. Over time, it has become a cult Christmas classic.
