Fallen Angels is Bob Dylan's thirty-seventh studio album, released on May 20, 2016. Like its predecessor, the album consists of covers of songs from the Great American Songbook, many associated with Frank Sinatra, though it also includes tracks recorded by other artists such as Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen.
The recording continued the minimalist approach of Shadows in the Night, with Dylan and his touring band playing live in the studio. The album was again produced under the pseudonym Jack Frost, and featured string arrangements by Donnie Herron. Dylan described the project as an exploration of American popular music predating his own career.
Fallen Angels received generally positive reviews, with praise for Dylan's vocal delivery and the album's cohesion. It reached number 7 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, and Dylan promoted it with his Never Ending Tour.
