World Gone Wrong is Bob Dylan's twenty-ninth studio album, released on October 26, 1993. It is the follow-up to Good as I Been to You (1992) and, like its predecessor, consists entirely of covers of traditional folk and blues songs, performed by Dylan solo with acoustic guitar and harmonica.
Recorded in May 1993, the album includes dark and somber songs, such as 'World Gone Wrong', 'Blood in My Eyes', and 'Stack a Lee', many of which were learned by Dylan from recordings by blues and folk musicians from the 1920s and 1930s. The album cover shows Dylan with a guitar, in an image evoking a vintage style.
The album received generally positive reviews, highlighting its authenticity and the depth of the performances. It won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album in 1994. It reached number 70 on the Billboard 200 and number 35 on the UK chart. Dylan included several of these songs in his live repertoire during the 1990s.
