Burning Bridges is the thirteenth studio album by American rock band Bon Jovi, released on August 21, 2015. The album was conceived as a farewell to their long relationship with Mercury Records, after more than three decades under the label.
The album includes previously unreleased songs from earlier sessions as well as new recordings. The title track, 'Burning Bridges', was released as a promotional single and addresses themes of breakup and change, reflecting the band's transition to a new record label.
Despite not having a supporting tour, the album reached number 1 on the UK Independent Albums chart and number 13 on the US Billboard 200. Critical reception was mixed, with praise for its lyrical honesty but criticism for its lack of cohesion.
