Borboletta is the sixth studio album by the band Santana, released in October 1974. The title means 'butterfly' in Portuguese, inspired by the song 'Borboleta' by Milton Nascimento, who collaborates on the track 'Promise of a Fisherman'. The album marks a transition towards a more jazz and fusion sound, following the departure of keyboardist Gregg Rolie.

Recorded at Plant Studios in Sausalito, California, and at Wally Heider Studios in San Francisco, the album featured guest musicians such as percussionist Airto Moreira and vocalist Flora Purim, both key figures in Brazilian jazz. The cover art was designed by Japanese-American artist Tadanori Yokoo.

Commercially, Borboletta reached number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart and received mixed reviews, although it has been reappraised over time as an experimental work within Santana's discography. It includes covers of songs by John Coltrane and Leon Thomas, as well as original compositions by the group.
