The album 'Hot House' was recorded live in 2012 and released on September 25, 2012 by Concord Jazz. It is a duo between Chick Corea (piano) and Gary Burton (vibraphone), continuing their decades-long collaboration.
The recording took place during a tour at the Blue Note jazz club in New York and at the Marciac Jazz Festival in France. The album won the Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album in 2013.
The repertoire includes original compositions by Corea and Burton, as well as jazz standards and pieces by composers such as Thelonious Monk and Steve Swallow.
