Lyric Suite for Sextet is an album by pianist Chick Corea, released in 1983 on the ECM Records label. It was recorded in November 1982 at Power Station in New York City, and produced by Manfred Eicher together with Corea.
The album features a sextet including trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, saxophonist Steve Kujala, trombonist Jim Pugh, bassist Marc Johnson, and drummer Tom Brechtlein. The work is a six-movement suite composed by Corea, exploring orchestral textures within chamber jazz.
Lyric Suite for Sextet was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1984 in the category of Best Instrumental Composition. It is regarded as a notable example of Corea's approach to large-scale composition, blending improvisation with classical structures.
