She's So Unusual is Cyndi Lauper's debut album, released on October 14, 1983. It was a massive commercial success, reaching number 4 on the Billboard 200 and selling over 16 million copies worldwide.
The album produced four top 5 singles on the Billboard Hot 100: Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Time After Time, She Bop, and All Through the Night. Lauper co-wrote most songs with members of the band Hooters.
In 1985, Lauper won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The album was added to the National Recording Registry of the U.S. Library of Congress in 2023 for its cultural and historical significance.
