Vexillology is the debut album by deadmau5, released on November 6, 2006 under Play Records. The title comes from the study of flags, reflecting the artist's interest in graphic design.
The album was recorded in Ontario, Canada, between 2005 and 2006, mostly in Zimmerman's home studio. Musically, it explores progressive house and electro house, with influences from minimal techno.
Although it did not have a major commercial impact initially, Vexillology established the foundation of deadmau5's signature sound. It was later re-released in 2011 by Ultra Records with an updated cover.
