'Dino Latino' was recorded at Reprise Studios in Hollywood between 1962 and 1963, produced by Jimmy Bowen. The album was released in 1963 and represents Dean Martin's foray into Latin music, with songs in Spanish and English.
The album includes versions of Latin standards such as 'Guadalajara' and 'South of the Border', as well as original songs adapted to Martin's style. Although Martin did not speak Spanish fluently, his performance was well received by the public.
The album reached number 33 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was one of the first attempts by an American pop artist to record a full album with Latin influences, anticipating later trends.
