Heartbreak Express is Dolly Parton's twenty-second solo studio album, released in March 1982. The album was entirely produced by Parton herself, marking a shift towards a more contemporary country sound.
The lead single, «Single Women», peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. The title track «Heartbreak Express» was also released as a single and reached number 7 on the same chart. The album includes a cover of «I Will Always Love You», which Parton had originally recorded in 1974.
The album reached number 12 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Although not one of her biggest commercial successes, Heartbreak Express is remembered for its blend of ballads and upbeat tracks, and for featuring one of Parton's most iconic songs in a new recording.
