Something Special is Dolly Parton's thirty-second solo studio album, released on August 22, 1995, by Columbia Nashville. Produced again by Steve Buckingham, the album continues the traditional country line of its predecessor, focusing on romantic ballads and personally inspired songs.

The album includes the single 'Rockin' Years', a duet with Ricky Van Shelton that became a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 1991 (though originally appearing on Shelton's album, it was included here as a featured track). It also contains a live version of 'I Will Always Love You' and the title track 'Something Special'.

Something Special peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and number 54 on the Billboard 200. Although it did not generate major radio hits, it was well received by critics for the sincerity of its lyrics and Parton's vocal performance, solidifying her reputation as one of Nashville's most respected songwriters.
