G.I. Blues is the soundtrack for the film of the same name starring Elvis Presley, released in 1960. The album was released on October 1, 1960, and reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart, where it stayed for 12 weeks.

The recording sessions took place between April and May 1960, after Elvis's return from military service in Germany. The musical producer was Joseph Lilley for the soundtrack, while Steve Sholes supervised the album. It includes the hit «It's Now or Never», based on the Italian song «O Sole Mio».

The album was certified platinum by the RIAA in 1999. The song «Wooden Heart» also became an international hit, although it was not released as a single in the United States until 1964.
