Good Times is Elvis Presley's twenty-seventh studio album, released in March 1974. The album continued the collaboration with Stax Records musicians, recorded in sessions that took place in late 1973 and early 1974. The record reflects a more relaxed, soulful sound, with influences from country and pop.
The single 'I've Got a Thing About You Baby' reached number 39 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the album peaked at number 90 on the Billboard 200. Although not a massive success, the album contains some of Elvis's most mature vocal performances of that period, such as 'She Wears My Ring' and 'My Boy'.
The album cover showed a smiling Elvis with a blue background, a more optimistic image than previous works. Despite mixed reviews, Good Times is considered by some fans as an underrated album that captures the essence of Elvis in his later recording years.
