Paradise, Hawaiian Style is the eighteenth studio album by Elvis Presley, released on June 10, 1966. It serves as the soundtrack for the film of the same name, released that same year. The album was recorded at RCA Victor Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, California.
The album reached number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA in 1999. Although critics considered the soundtrack minor within Presley's filmography, the record reflects the pop and exotic style of the era, with Hawaiian influences and romantic ballads.
The recording included session musicians such as guitarist Scotty Moore and drummer D.J. Fontana, although most tracks were recorded with the Nashville studio band. The album contains 12 songs, several of which were composed specifically for the film.
