Crack-Up is the third studio album by Fleet Foxes, released on June 16, 2017. It was the band's first album in six years, following a hiatus during which Robin Pecknold studied at Columbia University.
The album's title references a series of essays by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and its themes explore disillusionment and personal fragmentation. Musically, it incorporates orchestral arrangements and complex structures, moving away from the more straightforward folk of earlier works.
The album received critical acclaim for its ambition and lyrical depth. It peaked at number 9 on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
