Penguin is the eighth studio album by Fleetwood Mac, released in March 1973. It was the first album to feature guitarist Bob Weston and vocalist Dave Walker, who joined after Danny Kirwan's departure.
The album was recorded at the Rolling Stones Mobile Unit and Advision Studios in London, with production shared between the band and Martin Birch. Musically, it shows a transition from their early blues rock to a more melodic folk rock sound.
Despite contributions from all members, the album did not achieve major commercial success, peaking at number 49 on the UK charts and number 49 in the US. Shortly after, Dave Walker was fired and Bob Weston left the band, leading to another lineup change.
