Christmas Songs by Sinatra is Frank Sinatra's first Christmas album, released in 1948 by Columbia Records. It was compiled from recording sessions held between 1947 and 1948, and is one of the first long-playing (LP) albums dedicated exclusively to Christmas music.
The album features orchestral arrangements conducted by Axel Stordahl and Ken Lane, with the Ken Lane Singers. Although no precise producer records survive, production was handled by Columbia's usual team under the supervision of Mitch Miller, who was the label's artists and repertoire director at the time.
This record marked the beginning of Sinatra's Christmas tradition, although he would later record more famous versions with Capitol and Reprise. The original cover showed Sinatra wearing a Santa hat, and the album was reissued several times with different titles and track listings.
