Voices is the eighth studio album by Hall & Oates, released in 1980. It was produced by the duo themselves, marking a turning point in their career towards a more pop and new wave-oriented sound.
The album generated several hits, including 'Kiss on My List' (number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100), 'You Make My Dreams' (number 5), and 'Everytime You Go Away' (which later became a major hit for Paul Young). It also includes a cover of 'You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin''.
Voices reached number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified Platinum by the RIAA. It is considered a foundational album in establishing Hall & Oates' signature sound of the 1980s.
