This posthumous album was released on May 26, 1998, a year after Jeff Buckley's death. It compiles demos and unfinished recordings Buckley made for his second studio album, which he never completed.

Sessions began in 1996 with producer Tom Verlaine, but Buckley was dissatisfied with the results and started over. After his death, his mother Mary Guibert oversaw the compilation of the material.

The album includes alternate versions of songs like "Everybody Here Wants You" and "The Sky Is a Landfill." It reached number 64 on the Billboard 200 and received mixed reviews for its fragmentary nature.
