This album continued the successful country formula established by its predecessor. It was recorded in Nashville under the production of Jerry Kennedy, with sessions spanning from late 1968 to early 1969.
The lead single, She Still Comes Around (To Love What's Left of Me), reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1969. The album included a mix of original songs and covers of contemporary country hits.
Although it did not repeat the number 1 success of Another Place, Another Time, the album reached number 4 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. It reinforced Lewis's position as a prominent figure in late 1960s country music.
