Black Pearls is an album by John Coltrane released in 1965 by Prestige Records, although it was recorded on May 23, 1958, at Van Gelder Studio in Hackensack, New Jersey. The session was produced by Bob Weinstock and featured Coltrane on tenor saxophone, Donald Byrd on trumpet, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on double bass, and Art Taylor on drums.

The album was released posthumously by Prestige as part of a series of releases that exploited Coltrane's catalog after his success with Impulse! Records. The original recordings come from a session that also produced tracks for the album "Standard Coltrane" (1962). The title track, "Black Pearls", is a long-form composition based on the chord changes of "I'll Remember April".

Although not conceived as a conceptual album, "Black Pearls" shows Coltrane in a transitional stage, blending hard bop with modal incursions. Critics have noted that while it is not among his most innovative works, it documents his growing virtuosity and ability to develop extended solos within traditional harmonic structures.
