Coltrane's Sound is a studio album by John Coltrane released in 1964 by Atlantic Records, compiling recordings made in October 1960, during the same sessions that produced the albums My Favorite Things and Coltrane Plays the Blues. The quartet includes McCoy Tyner on piano, Steve Davis on bass, and Elvin Jones on drums.

The album features a mix of Coltrane's original compositions, such as 'The Night Has a Thousand Eyes' and 'Central Park West', along with reinterpreted standards. These recordings capture Coltrane exploring modality and open harmonic structures that would define his early 1960s sound.

Although initially released as a filler album by Atlantic, Coltrane's Sound has been revalued over time as an essential document of Coltrane's transition period toward modal jazz. Critics highlight the quartet's cohesion and the maturity of the improvisations, considering it a valuable companion to My Favorite Things.
