Lush Life is a studio album by American saxophonist John Coltrane, released in 1961 by Prestige Records. The recording sessions took place between 1957 and 1958, during the period when Coltrane was still part of Miles Davis's group and was battling his heroin addiction. The album was compiled and released posthumously by Prestige, capitalizing on the success Coltrane achieved in the early 1960s.

The album's title comes from the jazz standard "Lush Life", composed by Billy Strayhorn, which Coltrane performs in an extended version lasting nearly 14 minutes. This piece is one of Coltrane's most emblematic recordings from that era, showcasing his complex improvisational style and characteristic sound. The album also includes original compositions by Coltrane and versions of other standards.

Despite being a transitional album, Lush Life is considered an important work in Coltrane's discography, as it documents his artistic evolution before his more avant-garde period. Critics have praised the emotional depth of the performances, especially the title ballad, which reflects the introspection and personal struggle of the musician at that time.
