Fort Yawuh is a live album by Keith Jarrett, released in 1973 on Impulse! Records. It was recorded on February 24, 1973, at the Village Vanguard in New York, produced by George Avakian. It is Jarrett's first album for Impulse! and features his American Quartet.
The band includes Dewey Redman (saxophones), Charlie Haden (bass), and Paul Motian (drums), along with Jarrett on piano and soprano saxophone. The title is an anagram of 'Fort Worth', Jarrett's hometown. The album blends original compositions with extended improvisations.
Fort Yawuh received positive reviews for its energy and group cohesion. Notable tracks include '(If the) Misfits (Wear It)' and 'Whistle Tune'. The album was reissued on CD by Impulse! in 1995 and is considered a key example of 1970s avant-garde jazz.
