Staircase is a solo album by Keith Jarrett, recorded in May 1976 at Studio Bauer, Ludwigsburg. It was released in 1977 by ECM Records. The album consists of an extended piano solo improvisation divided into parts.
The main piece, Staircase, occupies the entire first side of the original LP, while the second side contains Hourglass and Sundial. The music reflects Jarrett's introspective and lyrical style characteristic of his solo improvisations of the period.
