Good Times is the third studio album by Kool & the Gang, released in 1972. It was recorded at De-Lite Studios in New Jersey and produced by the band themselves, solidifying their funk and soul sound characteristic of the early 1970s.
The album includes the hit single 'Funky Stuff', which reached number 11 on the Billboard R&B chart and became a funk classic. The title track 'Good Times' was also a minor R&B chart success.
Although it did not achieve the massive success of later albums, Good Times is considered an important work in the band's evolution, showcasing their growing sophistication in arrangements and the horn section.
