This second gospel volume was recorded in the same 1959 sessions as the first, and also released in 1960 by Goldisc Records. It continues the spiritual theme begun in the previous volume.
The album contains more hymns and gospel songs performed with Little Richard's unique vocal energy. Production was again handled by Bumps Blackwell.
Like its predecessor, it did not achieve major commercial success, but is valued by collectors as a testament to Richard's religious fervor before his brief return to rock and roll in 1962.
