Woman of the World/To Make a Man is a conceptual double album released in 1969 by Decca Records, produced by Owen Bradley. The first side, 'Woman of the World', features songs exploring the female perspective on marriage and domestic life.
The second side, 'To Make a Man', offers a complementary view from the male standpoint, creating a musical dialogue. The album includes the single 'Woman of the World (Leave My World Alone)', which reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.
Recorded at Bradley's Barn studios in Nashville, the album showcases Lynn's artistic maturity and storytelling ability. It was one of her first works to explicitly address gender themes, foreshadowing her feminist approach in later years.
