Louis Armstrong recorded this album of classic Disney songs between May and June 1968 in Los Angeles, produced by Tutti Camarata, who also arranged and conducted the sessions. The record was released by Buena Vista Records, a label owned by Walt Disney Productions.
The album includes eleven tracks from films such as 'Mary Poppins', 'The Jungle Book', and 'Snow White', featuring Armstrong's distinctive vocal and trumpet style. Although not a major commercial success at the time, it has been reappraised as a unique example of Armstrong's ability to perform children's music with jazz sophistication.
The original cover shows Armstrong with his trumpet surrounded by Disney characters. The album was reissued on CD by Walt Disney Records in 1995 and later in digital format. It is considered a cult item among collectors of both artists.
