The Legend of Bonnie & Clyde is a concept album by Merle Haggard released in 1968 on Capitol Records. Produced by Ken Nelson, the album is inspired by the story of outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, capitalizing on the success of the single «The Legend of Bonnie and Clyde», which Haggard had previously released. The album combines narrative songs with themes evoking the Great Depression era.

The album includes both original compositions by Haggard and covers of traditional and popular songs related to the outlaw theme. The title track reached number 1 on the Billboard country music charts in 1968. The record reflects Haggard's interest in stories of marginalized characters and his ability to tell stories through music.

Although not one of Haggard's most remembered albums, The Legend of Bonnie & Clyde showcases his versatility as a performer and storyteller. The success of the lead single helped maintain his streak of hits on the country charts during the late 1960s.
