Homegrown is a studio album by Neil Young, released on June 19, 2020, although it was originally recorded between 1974 and 1975. Young had planned to release it in 1975, but shelved it and replaced it with Tonight's the Night.
The album was produced by Neil Young and Elliot Mazer, and was recorded at various studios, including Broken Arrow Ranch, Quadrafonic Sound Studio, and Sunwest Recording Studio. The songs reflect a difficult personal period for Young, following the end of his relationship with actress Carrie Snodgress.
Homegrown was finally released 45 years after its recording, and was acclaimed by critics as an essential lost work. It includes collaborations with musicians such as Ben Keith, Tim Drummond, and Levon Helm.
