Ghosts I IV is an instrumental album by Nine Inch Nails released in 2008 under a Creative Commons license. It was the group's first release after leaving Interscope Records.
The album was recorded over a ten-week period in 2007 and 2008, mainly at Trent Reznor's studio in New Orleans and in Los Angeles. It includes contributions from several guest musicians.
Ghosts I IV consists of 36 tracks divided into four volumes. The project was an experiment in direct-to-fan distribution, offering multiple physical and digital editions.
