Not So Silent Night ... Christmas with REO Speedwagon is the band's first and only Christmas album, released on October 13, 2009. It features covers of Christmas classics and two original songs written by Kevin Cronin: 'I Believe in Santa Claus' and 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)', the latter an adaptation of John Lennon's song.
The album was recorded at Kevin Cronin's studios in Los Angeles and produced by Cronin himself along with the band. It includes collaborations with country singer Jessica Harp on 'Winter Wonderland' and the Santa Monica Elementary School Choir on several tracks.
Although it did not enter the Billboard 200, it reached No. 14 on the Billboard Holiday Albums chart. The band promoted the album with a Christmas tour in December 2009, called the 'Not So Silent Night Tour', which included dates in the United States.
