Cyclorama is Styx's thirteenth studio album, released on February 18, 2003. It was the band's first album with guitarist and vocalist Lawrence Gowan, who replaced Dennis DeYoung, and also the first with original bassist Chuck Panozzo since 1995, though he only appears on some tracks.
The album was recorded at various studios, including Tommy Shaw's personal studio in Nashville and Jim Peterik's studio in Illinois. Production was handled by the band, with mixing by Tom Lord-Alge. The title refers to a cyclorama, a 360-degree panoramic painting, symbolizing the album's musical breadth.
Cyclorama received mixed reviews and did not achieve the commercial success of earlier works, peaking at number 127 on the Billboard 200. The lead single, 'Waiting for Our Time', had moderate radio rotation. The promotional tour included shows in the United States and Europe.
