Even the Strong Get Lonely is Tammy Wynette's twenty-fourth studio album, released in 1983 by Epic Records. It was again produced by Billy Sherrill, marking one of their last collaborations before Wynette left the label.
The album produced two singles: the title track 'Even the Strong Get Lonely', which peaked at number 67 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, and 'Another Chance', which did not chart. The record reflects a more contemporary sound for the era, with influences from 1980s country pop.
Although not a significant commercial success, Even the Strong Get Lonely is considered by some critics as a solid work showcasing Wynette's vocal maturity. After this album, Wynette took a break from recording until her next release in 1985.
