Give Love at Christmas is the first Christmas album by The Temptations, released in 1980 on the Gordy label, a subsidiary of Motown. The album combines original songs with Christmas standards, and was recorded at Motown studios in Detroit and Los Angeles.
Production was handled by several producers, including Clay McMurray and the group members themselves, although some tracks come from earlier sessions produced by Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier, and Norman Whitfield. The album reached number 26 on the Billboard Top Soul Albums chart.
Despite not being a major commercial success upon its initial release, it has over time become a Christmas classic within the Motown catalog. The cover art shows the group members dressed in Christmas attire, reflecting the aesthetic of the era.
