Phoenix Rising is the thirty-seventh studio album by The Temptations, released in 1998 on Motown. It marked the group's return to the label after a brief period with other companies. The album was primarily produced by Daryl Simmons and Narada Michael Walden, with contributions from the group members themselves.

The title symbolizes the group's rebirth after lineup changes, including the addition of singer Terry Weeks. The lead single, 'Stay', reached number 28 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The album also includes an updated arrangement of 'My Girl'.

Although it did not achieve major chart success, Phoenix Rising was well received by longtime fans and helped reaffirm The Temptations' presence in the late 1990s contemporary R&B scene. The production incorporated elements of new jack swing and classic soul ballads.
