With a Lot o' Soul is the sixth studio album by The Temptations, released on July 2, 1967, by the Gordy label of Motown. It was primarily produced by Norman Whitfield, who was beginning to consolidate his more psychedelic and funk-influenced production style, although the album still retains elements of the group's classic soul sound.
The album includes the hit single "(I Know) I'm Losing You", which reached number 1 on the Billboard R&B chart and number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other notable tracks are "Ain't No Sun Since You've Been Gone" and "All I Need", which also achieved success on the R&B charts.
The album peaked at number 7 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart. It is considered one of the group's strongest works in the era before their full immersion into psychedelic soul, showcasing the musical transition that would define their later sound.
