The only album by The Velvet Underground without Lou Reed or John Cale. It was recorded in London in 1972 and released in 1973. Doug Yule, the sole original member, led the project with session musicians.
The record was a commercial and critical failure. Many fans and critics consider it an anomaly in the band's discography. Yule sang most of the songs and played multiple instruments.
Polydor quickly withdrew the album from the market. For years, the band and its followers ignored it. It was not officially reissued until decades later, and remains the least known of their catalog.
